PackreloadFix

PackreloadFix is a small client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11.

It fixes an unnecessary resource reload after leaving the Resource Packs screen when nothing effectively changed.

Reload is skipped when: - the enabled resource-pack list is unchanged - the active order is unchanged when strict order checking is enabled

Reload is still allowed when: - a pack is enabled or disabled - the active pack order changes - packs are added or removed while the screen is open - the mod cannot compare the old and new state safely

The mod is client-only and does not need to be installed on servers.

Mod Menu support is optional. The built-in config screen works through Mod Menu without YACL. YACL is optional and only replaces the built-in config screen with a YACL-based one.
