Shield 'n Parry Mod

This mod makes combat require a higher amount of skill while still letting new pvp-ers have a chance. Learn to parry attacks, bash with your shield, and reflect projectiles.

So, What's Actually New?

1. Weapon Parrying

Press R (configurable) with a weapon just before an attack hits you.

* Fail? blocks damage and staggers the attacker * Fail?: Faster weapons = tighter timing windows, faster cooldown recharge * Fail?: Screen effects, sounds, and knockback when you nail it * Fail? You get slowed down briefly. Practice makes perfect.

2. Shield Bashing

Hold block with a shield, then press the parry key.

* Works with any shield and knock enemies back * Works with any shield to anything you hit * Works with any shield (vanilla or modded)

3. Projectile Reflection

Time a parry right as an arrow or fireball reaches you.

* Extremely satisfying at the shooter * Extremely satisfying on the return trip * Extremely satisfying automatically * Extremely satisfying (and extremely hard) when you reflect a skeleton's own arrows

AND YES YOU CAN PARRY FALL DAMAGE!!!
