Better combat balance
This data pack modifies the values of gold tools, gold armor, and various axes, making them more balanced.
Better combat balance
Are you dissatisfied with gold tools and gold armor being too weak? Are you confused that axes of different materials deal the same damage? Here, all these issues will be addressed, and this datapack will make balanced adjustments to these aspects to an appropriate degree.
I have positioned gold tools (and armor) between iron and diamond, which greatly increases the practicality of gold! This means that in the early stages of survival, you have more options—you don't have to make a full set of iron or diamond armor; you can also choose gold! At the same time, I have differentiated the damage of axes according to their material, making some axes less overpowered and giving swords of the same material more utility.
Specifically, the changes I made are as follows: 1. The mining power of gold pickaxes is increased to be equivalent to iron pickaxes; 2. The durability of gold tools is set to 250, equal to iron. The durability of gold armor is set to half the sum of iron and diamond armor; 3. The damage and attack speed of gold tools are aligned with diamond (except the gold axe, which is 1 point lower in damage than the diamond axe), and the armor value of a full gold set falls between iron and diamond; 4. Axe damage increases in the following order: wooden axe, stone axe, copper axe, iron axe, gold axe, diamond axe, netherite axe;
In short, I hope you enjoy this datapack, and I wish you happy gaming!
