Better Worldgen
This datapack overhauls Minecraft’s world generation by removing and adjusting selected features, while keeping the overall terrain largely unchanged.
Better Worldgen
This datapack significantly overhauls Minecraft’s world generation by removing and modifying various generation features. Mountains can now reach much greater heights due to the removal of the world generation height cap. Although caves still form underground, large surface openings, cave pillars, aquifers, and standard carvers have been removed, resulting in a cleaner, less fragmented appearance in both the Overworld and the Nether. This also makes the underground feel smoother and more continuous, with caves appearing more enclosed and hidden. Additionally, underground sediments such as dirt, gravel, clay, and soul sand no longer generate, and both surface and underground lava lakes, as well as natural water and lava springs, have been removed, preventing them from flooding caves and the surface. Structures like mesa mineshafts are also disabled. Overall, the world becomes more uniform, structured, and calm, while caves remain present but are more difficult to locate.
