Fix in theory is simple: disable srcset because you killed it with that image processor thingy; I understand why it's in place though, I just wish it didn't kill the AVIF unless I used GitHub as a CDN, which it hates as a solution --> <source srcset="https://github.com 0, https://mod-assets.upcraft.dev/promo/crooked-crooks/mod_showcase.avif" /> <img alt="At first, a beginning of a SkyBlock run is shown, with a diamond-shaped oak slab ground and a grown tree in the middle. A player (who can be recognized as Ennui, the developer) is shown breaking the leaves with a long wooden crook. Then, the view fades to the Overworld, in a plains full of sheep. The same player is shown pulling sheep towards herself, and said sheep proceeds to follow her as she walks away. The loop through both views repeats after that." /> </picture> </div>

Crooked Crooks is a mod that adds its own take on a classic from Ex Nihilo (and its many successors): the crook! Our crooks not only has the classic property of multiplying drops from leaves, but also applies it to grass, has the ability to pull mobs, and also herds sheep!

A wooden crook can be crafted with four sticks in a crafting table as shown in the image below:

With that same template, you can also craft stone crooks with cobblestone, bone crooks with bones, and iron crooks with iron ingots! The exact recipes can be seen on the gallery.

Dependencies

As of 1.21.4, this mod requires only the Fabric API to be installed. As for the loader, the Fabric Loader, as well as the Quilt Loader, are available.

As of Crooked Crooks 4.0.0, this mod is fully compatible with NeoForge with no extra dependencies.

Configuration

Currently, this mod has one config option that allows for disabling the Shepherd's Touch effect (and sheep herding as a consequence). It may be disabled by dragging and drop the `shepherds_touch.txt` file to the `disabled` folder inside of the `.minecraft/config/crooked_crooks` folder.

A demonstration of the config system may be seen on this video.

Besides that, it is possible to customize which blocks should have their drops multiplied by a crook through either the `#crooked_crooks:multiplies_drops` block tag (Fabric, always multiplies by 3) or through the `crooked_crooks:multiplies_drops` data map (NeoForge, custom multiplier).

The block tag used to determine which blocks are breakable by the crook is `#crooked_crooks:mineable_with_crook`.
