The nastiest RP

This **resource pack/shaders** are challenges to complete. The shader is designed so that you can play it somewhat, _but the image is extremely unpleasant to look at._

![Replace this with a description](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/ad2b3764c364301d5ea91a632fdc409d1e73c425.png)

You can try to complete Minecraft with it, play minigames, or troll a friend. Whatever you choose.

**To enable this effect, go to Settings → Video Settings → Graphics = Fabulous!**

Text_effecter RP

This resource pack adds custom text effects using vanilla Minecraft shaders. Currently, version 1.0. There are only three effects.

![Replace this with a description](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/2e2e1da97bc964af4fd4a90037a91ce41dccfd38.png)

1. Shake effect – `/tellraw @s {“text”:” Test Text”,”color”:”#FF5270″}`
2. Bloody effect – `/tellraw @s {“text”:” Test Text”,”color”:”#B5CEA8″}`
3. Elite effect – `/tellraw @s {“text”:” Test Text”,”color”:”#FFFF54″}`

Spook

**I am currently inactive on this project at the moment, and new updates may be extremely delayed**

### **Important info:**
This RP **does not** contain any creepy/scary content or jumpscares. It only contains shader effects and only intends to just make the atmosphere more spooky feeling.

This RP **does not** work with optifine or sodium.

### About the pack
Spook is a resource pack making use of core shaders to add a spooky vibe to the game, without having to use optifine/iris.

### What this RP adds:
– Desaturated colour with red tint
– A red UI
– A dark, close fog around the player
– Slight effects to mobs with emissive eye rendering

### Known issues:
– Items held are completely black on inventory preview
– Fog does not apply to sign text
– Objects may ignore fog at large distances from player

Smoother Glowing

I’ve rewritten the glowing post shader to remove the black outline and stop it from covering the entity, it looks better imo.
Also, it’s faster than vanilla so you’ll lose less fps while there’s glowing entity in view.

Feel free to use it anywhere!

### Mc Version
It works on Minecraft 1.9 and all the way up. But **if you’re on below Minecraft 1.14, you’ll need a game restart after applying this pack.**
(Technically it works on all version because there’s no glowing effect before 1.9)

Recently (2025/10/19) found out that it doesn’t work below Minecraft 1.17 on macOs, and I didn’t bother to debug it. My windows pc broke so I can’t test if it still works on windows. I’d like to assume it does..

### Installing
It should be installed like resource pack.
Why is it in Shaders category? Because this pack only modifies post shader and there’s Vanilla filter in Shaders category. So I thought it’s technically a resource pack but logically a shader pack.

[Here’s the answer from Modrinth mod if you’re confused too](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1132625481045389312/1468282574395801762/image.png?ex=69837435&is=698222b5&hm=af322dd2f73dc9109dd2fbc0fdace27fac876da93d03d2c2ad1646bbe25bf77c&)

### 1.20.5+
Minecraft itself has optimized the shader with similar strategy on 1.20.5+, so this pack’s optimization won’t be as obvious as before. But I still prefer this pack’s visual because:
* They didn’t divide the color sum by alpha sum, causing the outline to look black instead of transparent.
* They didn’t prevent the outline from covering the actual entity, causing the entity to look weird.

After some testing, this pack still optimizes from 54fps to 60fps on 1.21! (at least on my client)

### Modifying
The radius and final alpha can be changed by editing the entityglow.fsh file. (changing radius affects performance!) If you have a hard time modifying it, try out [Shader Reload Mod](https://modrinth.com/mod/shader-reload) or join my Discord!

SkyboxTemplate

**SkyboxTemplate** is a resource pack that uses core shaders to add multiple new skyboxes to the game. These are rendered using item displays and can be used for many different effects.

![Skybox with Clouds](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/b462153a646e4a68e6a76fe6494f70902aa8f1d6_0.webp)

You can use it **together with my plugin** [SkyboxEngine](https://modrinth.com/plugin/skyboxengine) to handle the creation of the item displays but you can also use it **standalone**!

More information on how to use it an the Skybox Engine integration can be found on the [Github Repository](https://github.com/Dragoncraft000/SkyboxTemplate)

## Features

### Skybox Shader Setup
By default, the pack contains the resource pack setup for nine different skybox shaders and more can be added easily by copying the files for the provided skyboxes.

### Example Shaders
Different Skybox effects with comments to explain how things work to help you understand aeverything and allow you to add your own effects.
### Shader Utility
Utility functions to use in your shaders such as colors, gradients, noise and texture mapping

### Shader Notice
Due to this pack making use of core shaders it is not compatible with iris or otpfine shaderpacks. Having iris installed is fine but the sykbxo shaders will not be visible as soon as you activate a shaderpack.

Shaderific (Vanilla Shader)

**I no longer have the time or patience to work on this project, and I don’t plan to update it in the near future. If you are a shader dev and are interested in picking up this project, feel free to contact me on Discord.**

A somewhat simplistic shader built using vanilla Minecraft’s rendering pipeline.
This shader is a resource pack, so don’t add it to the shader packs folder, use the resource packs folder instead!
This shader may be incompatible with certain rendering or performance mods, and is meant to be used purely vanilla (though should still be compatible with most mods). Known incompatibilities are Sodium and Optifine.

Features included:
– Waving foliage
– More natural lighting with soft shadows
– Bloom
– Automatic exposure
– Depth of field
– Sparkling night sky
– Colored moon
– Gradual fog (originally from [Confogurable (Classic)](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/confogurable-classic))
– Gleaming armor (from [the pack with the same name](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/gleaming-armor))
– Square entity shadows
– Stylistic highlights, a light outline around blocks and entities
– Glowing/shiny gems (there is a known issue with some item models, may be fixed in a later update)
– More foggy nether portal
– Advanced beacon block model
– Not really shader-related but 3D rails and randomized hay blocks with partially connecting textures
– Double layered clouds (there is a known issue with going above them, it may be fixed in a later version)
– Better water coloration in some places
– Tilted rain
– Custom player skin features including blinking, customizable damage color, damage expression, emissive pixels, and a cape! Help setting this up will be provided on request in the discord server.
– Built-in compatibility with [Stable Player Display](https://github.com/bradleyq/stable_player_display) when Shaderific is applied on top

Note that this pack is still in beta so there may be graphical inconsistencies and performance issues in certain scenarios. Help is provided in my discord.

Sculk Enchantment Glint

Sculk around with this ancient disco ball glint.
(Set a high glint strength for the best effect!)

Note that this pack uses vanilla shaders to skew the texture.
It may not be compatible with Sodium and other renderers.

Screamerpack RP

**This resource pack doesn’t seem to do anything at first glance.** But when you have white dye in any form _(in your hand, in your inventory, on the screen, or in a chest)_, a frightening jumpscare appears across the entire screen. The jumpscare itself isn’t scary, but it’s creepy. You want to get rid of it as quickly as possible, but the only way to get rid of it is to stop seeing the white dye.

![Replace this with a description](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/8cd68a64eaecfc98d3fefe2176ddb2aed4bcc02d.png)

This resource pack is definitely a good way to scare your friend, but **don’t use it maliciously!**

**Create a jumpscare:** `/give #nick white_dye`

**Remove it:** `/clear #nick white_dye`

RSRP

A very simple resource pack meant to make things look a bit prettier.

Uses vanilla shader methods to adjust the fog and sky, and the intensity of the shadows to give everything a softer feel. The foliage has also been changed to be closer to that of Alpha versions of the game, which looks more vibrant.

Retrus

A simple little shader using a myriad of little effects to create a halfway decent VHS look. Perfect if you’re trying to make a “found footage” video in minecraft. This is a CORE shader and WILL NOT WORK with optifine/iris. Should work perfectly on all versions 1.17+ (any version of minecraft with “fabulous” graphics).

Will likely not be updated as I consider it to be feature complete. May update to fix possible bugs for newer versions of minecraft.
