🛡️ The Armor & Tools Expansion

Enhance your Minecraft journey with a vast variety of new equipment! The Armor & Tools Expansion introduces numerous custom sets crafted from classic vanilla materials, designed to bridge the gaps in vanilla progression and beyond while also giving a unique new gameplay depth.

✨ Core Features

- Vanilla-Style Crafting: No complex new mechanics to learn. Craft your new gear using the familiar vanilla shapes you already know. - Unique Stats: Every set comes with custom armor points and durability. - Visual Variety: Includes material variations like Wood (Oak, Spruce, Jungle, etc.) or Stone (Cobblestone, Blackstone, etc.) to match your style. - Powerful Set Bonuses: Wearing a full set grants unique buffs, passive abilities, or offensive/defensive powers with balanced cooldowns. - Custom Advancements: Track your progress with new advancements. Unlock a achievement for every full armor set you craft and wear.

⚒️ How it Works

Crafting is intuitive. For example, to craft an Emerald Chestplate, simply use the standard chestplate pattern with emeralds:

This image shows the crafting recipe for an emerald chestplate (just like for example the vanilla recipe for an iron chestplate made from iron ingots)

💎 Featured Sets

Some materials offer a full arsenal, while others focus only on armor, for example: - Emerald: A complete set including Armor, Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, and Hoe.

- Shulker: A complete Armor-Set.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

This datapack requires the corresponding Resource Pack to display textures correctly. Without it, items will appear as default objects or have broken textures.

🛠️ Installation

Datapack - Place the .zip file into your world/datapacks folder. - Updating: If you are installing a newer version, delete the old one first. - ⚠️ Note: I highly recommend creating a backup of your world before updating or deleting files.

Resource Pack - Place the .zip file into your resourcepacks folder. - Enable it in the in-game settings.

💡 Tip: If you are using the Modrinth App, the installation is handled automatically.

⚙️ Compatibility

This datapack is designed to be lightweight and should be compatible with almost any other pack. - Universal Support: Should work seamlessly with the vast majority of datapacks and mods. - Potential Conflict: Issues may arise with other packs that also modify the Warden's loot table. - Load Order: If you use multiple packs that modify the Warden’s loot, ensure this pack is prioritized (placed at the top) to see its specific drops.

📝 Behind the Scenes

- This is a newer version of a datapack I made for a private Minecraft server (originally developed between late 2024 and 2025 for versions 1.21.3–4). I have now reworked it for newer Minecraft versions.

🎨 About the Textures

To keep the Vanilla feel, the armor textures are based on original Minecraft assets. I either used the existing block/item/entity .png files or modified the colors of the standard Iron/Diamond Armor to match the new themes/materials.
