Custom Glints

Custom Glints lets you paint fully animated, custom-colored enchantment glints onto any item or armor piece.

Armor glint (Not animated because modrinth 1mb size limit >_> )

Grab the Glint Wand from the Custom Glints creative tab, right-click, and the editor opens. Pick an item, choose from 55 patterns (54 plus the classic vanilla glint), stack up to 8 colors per layer, dial in animation speed, and toggle smooth color transitions. Hit Get Item and it lands straight in your inventory. Multiple independent layers are supported — each layer has its own pattern, colors, speed, and render mode.

Glint Trims are lootable template items found in chests around the world. Each trim carries a glint pattern and can be dyed to load up to 8 colors. Combine two trims in a crafting grid to merge their color lists. Duplicate a trim with 7 diamonds and a glowstone dust in a 3×3 grid. Once colored, apply the trim to any item at a smithing table with glowstone dust to stamp the full glint onto it.

glint tears

Glint Tears drop alongside trims from any loot source (20% chance each) and are also in the creative tab. Place a Simultaneous Tear or Sequential Tear with a glinted item to toggle whether all colors render at once or cycle one at a time. The Layer Tear merges the full layer arrays of two Glint Trims (up to 8 layers total). The Black Tear strips all glint data from any glinted item.

For server admins and datapack authors: a /glint apply command lets you apply named colors and designs directly to held items without touching raw NBT. Full NBT format is also supported for /give commands and loot tables.

For mod developers: the entire glint system is embeddable under MIT. Copy four files, point one import at your mod class, and CustomGlint.write() works on any ItemStack with no dependency on this mod at runtime. Multiple mods embedding it simultaneously do not conflict.
