Harder Mode
A datapack that increase mob difficulty after entering the nether
Harder Mode
After entering the Nether, the difficulty of the game increases to better suit the player's progression. Mobs not only get straight buffs, but also new behaviors and new variants.
New Variants
- Miner Zombie - Carries an iron pickaxe and torch. Can mine cobblestone, cobbled deepslate, and netherrack.
- Skeleton King - Rides a skeleton horse with a shield.
New Behaviors
- Cave Spiders are now infested and poison the player if they are within 3 blocks. - Creepers can now be charged (regardless of weather). Planning to add a silent variant. - Drowned get a speed boost when in water. - Endermen inflict darkness on you if you aggro them (they also break boats now). - Husks now have fire resistance. - Iron Golems move faster when a player aggros them. - Phantoms give weakness to nearby players. - Skeletons can detect you from farther ranges and now back away when you get close to them. - Spiders have a random chance to spawn with a cave spider riding them like a jockey. - Strays have Frost Walker (without boots). - Witches give speed, strength, and resistance to other nearby mobs. - Zombies can now spawn reinforcements (reinforcements get weakness upon being summoned).
