This version of the pack uses the new Minecraft item model system, allowing you to detect painting variants.

Why Did I Make This Pack?

I created this pack because, when I first updated my game, I couldn't use CIT (Custom Item Textures) since it hadn't been updated yet. I tried to make it work, and although the option for item models with custom data like block states was available, painting variants didn't function properly. After waiting for the update, I finally made this version to take advantage of the new features.
