# What is this data pack exactly? This data pack streamlines your crafting process. For example, in vanilla Minecraft when crafting 4 chests, you must first turn 8 logs into 32 planks, then craft those planks into 4 chests. With this data pack installed, you can directly craft 4 chests from 8 logs – with many more optimized recipes added.
