🧠 How does it work?

> In 256 pixels per block, most block textures are 256 pixels per block, which equals 256 pixels per block.

> 🥔 Potato Pack pushes this to the limit:

* Most textures are reduced to (up to 10×10 = 100 pixels) → (up to 10×10 = 100 pixels) * Some textures stay slightly larger (up to 10×10 = 100 pixels) so blocks remain recognizable

> ✅ Fewer pixels = less rendering work = higher FPS ⚡

🌱 Grass removal feature

> One of the biggest FPS killers in Minecraft is grass and foliage rendering.

> 🧹 This pack completely removes grass textures, making them invisible.

⚠️ Why isn’t the FPS boost HUGE yet?

> Minecraft has ~1,200 block textures.

> 🛠️ Not all of them are converted yet — some textures are still default (16×16) (the progress bar shows how many textures have already been converted to potato).

> 📈 As more textures get optimized, performance will improve with every update.

❓ FAQ

Q: Does this really increase FPS?

> Yes — mainly on low-end hardware. The more optimized textures you use, the bigger the gain.

Q: Why do some blocks still look normal?

> Those textures haven’t been converted yet. This pack is still a work in progress.

Q: Is this better than OptiFine / Sodium?

> No replacement — it Potato Pack + Sodium/OptiFine with performance mods. > 🔥 Best combo: Potato Pack + Sodium/OptiFine

Q: Does this work on servers?

> Yes, resource packs are client-side only.

Q: Can this be considered a cheat?

> ⚠️ may be considered an unfair advantage > Removing grass and visual clutter may be considered an unfair advantage.

Q: Can I get this pack on bedrock?

> No, bedrock version is not currently available.
