Reshinificator - Cobblemon

The story behind this addon started when I was playing Cobblemon and found a shiny Spearow. I love Spearow, but its shiny looks like someone dipped it in a bucket of yellow paint. So I decided to create my own versions of shiny Pokémon that I (and I alone) consider lazy or ugly.

This is just a hobby project, but I plan to go generation by generation, starting with Gen 1. Since it’s only a hobby, I can’t promise I’ll finish every generation or release updates quickly.

How to Install

Just download the .zip file and place it into your Minecraft resourcepacks folder. Then launch the game, go to the Resource Packs menu, and enable Reshinificator.

This addon requires Cobblemon to work

Permissions

Since this addon uses Cobblemon’s original textures, I ask anyone who wants to include it in a modpack to give proper credit and not use it in paid modpacks.

I used the original textures from Cobblemon and only changed their colors. All credit for the textures goes to the original Cobblemon creators. Since I didn’t create them from scratch and only modified the originals, I chose to keep their original signatures, easter eggs, and jokes that can be found in some Pokémon textures.

Is this addon compatible with X addon/mod?

This addon uses the original Cobblemon textures. If you’re using another addon or mod that modifies Cobblemon’s original textures or models, my addon may break the textures of those modified Pokémon.

I prefer the original color of a specific Pokémon, but I still want to use this addon. What can I do?

You can open the addon files and delete the folder of the Pokémon you don’t want to be modified. This way, you can choose exactly which Pokémon will use my custom shinies.

When using certain cosmetics, shiny Pokémon may revert to their original shiny forms. How to fix that?

This is a known issue, but I don’t know how to fix it yet. I’m currently looking for a solution.
