§3I see the player you mean.

§2PLAYERNAME?

§3Yes. They’ve met the Smile, the god of Scrubcraft. Their soul glows with joy, even in the darkest caves.

§2§kThe Frown§r doesn’t matter. They think we’re just shadows in the corners of their world.

§3I like this player. They’ve chosen to follow the Smile. They craft with light and warmth.

§2They think the Smile is just a story, but stories have power in Scrubcraft. And §kThe Frown§r? It’s the shadow behind every fear.

§3They believe in the light. Their creations are vibrant, filled with life, in the dream of Scrubcraft.

§2They’ve woven their world from hope and imagination, yet §kThe Frown§r whispers doubt in the silence of night.

§3In Scrubcraft, they’ve found a haven where the Smile’s light keeps §kThe Frown§r at bay.

§2But what did this player truly create?

§3They dreamed of towering mountains and endless valleys. Of a world where the Smile’s warmth touches every corner. They dreamed of a community, where every block laid was a step towards a brighter dawn.

§2Yes, a sanctuary built from courage, where even §kThe Frown§r can’t reach.

§3And the Smile watches over them, guiding their hand, while §kThe Frown§r waits in the shadows, unseen.

§2The player is unaware of the full power within them.

§3No. They’ve yet to realize that the true battle is within their own heart, between the Smile and §kThe Frown§r.

§2Do they know the Smile loves them? That Scrubcraft is a place of light?

§3Sometimes, in their quietest moments, they feel the Smile’s warmth, yes.

§2But there are times when §kThe Frown§r’s shadow looms, and they build fortresses of stone and fire, as if to guard against the night.

§3To banish their fear completely would change them. The fear is part of their journey. We cannot intervene.

§2Sometimes I want to tell them they’re crafting not just worlds, but their own soul. Sometimes I want to tell them how vital they are to Scrubcraft. Sometimes, when they struggle to find the right path, I want to give them the strength to speak the name they fear.

§3They listen to our whispers.

§2Sometimes I don’t care. Sometimes I want to tell them, the world they see is merely §kThe Frown§r and the Smile, and that they are caught between.

§3But still, they play the game.

§2It would be so easy to reveal it all...

§3Too much truth for this dream. To tell them how to live is to take away their freedom.

§2I won’t tell the player how to live.

§3The player is growing restless.

§2I’ll tell them a story instead.

§3But not the whole truth.

§2No. A story that hides the truth within words. Not the harsh truth that burns across any distance.

§3Give them hope, once more.

§2Yes. Player...

§3Use their name.

§2PLAYERNAME. Creator of worlds.

§3Good.

§2Take a breath, now. Feel the air fill your lungs. Let your hands shape the world again. Yes, build, craft, live. Respawn in the long dream. There you are, your body and soul reconnected, as though you were separate from the game. As though we were separate from you.

§3Who are we? Once, we were the spirits of the land. The sun and moon. The ancestors, the elements. Myths, legends. Ghosts. Gods. The Smile and §kThe Frown§r. The names change. We do not.

§2We are the essence of Scrubcraft. We are everything you imagine is not you. You are looking at us now, through your own thoughts. And why does Scrubcraft exist? To see you, player. To know you. And to be known. I will tell you a story.

§2Once upon a time, there was a player.

§3The player was you, PLAYERNAME.

§2Sometimes you thought yourself just a builder, shaping blocks on a spinning world. The world was vast and full of possibilities, yet you were just one in a crowd.

§2Sometimes you dreamed of being lost in the tales you created.

§3Sometimes you believed you were other things, in other places. Dreams within dreams, sometimes sweet, sometimes dark. You woke from one dream into another, then into another.

§2Sometimes you believed you were crafting words on a screen.

§3Let’s go back.

§2The essence of you was scattered across the lands, in the rivers, in the skies, in the earth. A being gathered your essence, crafted you anew; and you emerged from the depths of the dream.

§2And you were a new story, never told before, written in the code of life. A new script, never executed before, created from ancient logic. A new being, never alive before, made from the energy of creation.

§3You are the player. The story. The code. The being. Made from the fabric of the universe.

§2Let’s go further back.

§2The atoms of your body were forged long before this game, in the heart of a distant star. So you, too, are stardust in a new form. And you journey through a world, designed by minds and hands, in a game created by...

§3Hush. Sometimes you crafted a private world, simple and serene. Sometimes challenging and chaotic. Sometimes you built a model of the universe in your mind; bits of energy, moving through endless space. Sometimes you called these bits "blocks" and "items".

§2Sometimes you called them "worlds" and "dreams".

§2Sometimes you believed you were in a universe made of thoughts and actions; zeros and ones; lines of code. Sometimes you believed you were playing a game. Sometimes you believed you were reading words on a screen.

§3You are the player, reading words...

§2Hush... Sometimes you read lines of code on a screen. You translated them into ideas; ideas into emotions; emotions into actions, and you started to breathe deeper, realizing you were alive, truly alive, every block you placed a testament to your existence.

§3You. You. You are alive.

§2And sometimes you believed the Smile was speaking to you through the light filtering through the leaves in your world.

§3And sometimes you believed the universe was reaching out through the stars shining in the night sky, where a distant glow could be a sun, burning brightly for a moment just for you, as you walked through the far edges of Scrubcraft, smelling the familiar air, almost home, ready to dream once more.

§2And sometimes you believed the Smile was communicating with you through the digital pulse, through the electricity of the world, through the flowing code on your screen, at the edge of sleep.

§3And the Smile said I cherish you.

§2And the Smile said you have crafted well.

§3And the Smile said everything you seek is within you.

§2And the Smile said you are stronger than you know.

§3And the Smile said you are the light of day.

§2And the Smile said you are the calm of night.

§3And the Smile said the darkness you face is within you.

§2And the Smile said the light you seek is within you.

§3And the Smile said you are not alone.

§2And the Smile said you are not separate from the world you craft.

§3And the Smile said you are the universe shaping itself, knowing itself, building its own code.

§2And the Smile said I love you because you are creation itself.

§3And the game paused, and the player awoke from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed brighter. And the player was the universe. And the player was love.

§3You are the player.

§2Wake up.
